Happy November McVay Pioneers!
Can you believe we are already into November, just a couple of weeks away from Thanksgiving break and it has still been 70 degrees outside?! We are very thankful for these warm fall days especially when our students can still go outside comfortably for recess!
October was a JAM PACKED month full of fundraisers, family conferences, and so much PIONEER PRIDE! First off, we want to congratulate all of our amazing McVay Pioneers for their off-the-charts fundraising efforts with our PTA’s annual Walk-a-thon! As a school community, we raised over $16,800 - a McVay Walk-a-thon RECORD!! These funds support student field trips, special class projects, student recognition programs, and more! Thank you, McVay community, for your amazing and generous support!
In keeping with our promises, on account of the tremendous Walk-a-thon fundraising success, Mr. Fullen and Mrs. Hayes were SLIMED at the October P.R.I.D.E. assembly!
The assembly also featured the debut of the McVay Elementary choir and we honored another round of amazing McVay Students of the Month!

We want to highlight our annual Veterans Day assembly and remind our community that this year’s program is back in person and open to the community! We especially encourage any Veterans, Active Service members, and their families to attend!
